Katie and Victoria are walking on the beach. Both in bikini's. There's some dark clouds rolling into the area. With a big threat of rain and even a strong thunderstorm is supposed to hit.
Victoria: Been another good day.
Katie: For us anyway.
Victoria: What do you mean?
Katie: Mickie.
Victoria: Ohh.
Katie: Have you noticed she seems to be getting worse. I'm worried about her.
Victoria: I know you are. She's having a really hard time. I haven't seen her this bad since Sebastian was killed.
Katie: Yeah I know.
Rain starts to fall.
Katie: Oh my. Its starting to rain.
Victoria: We better get inside.
Katie and Victoria walk to the beach house and they step up on the deck and they walk in the house. The wind starts to pick up.
Victoria: Its supposed to storm today.
Katie: When?
Victoria: I think its supposed to hit about 7 or 8.
No one else is around. Katie and Victoria sit at the kitchen table.
Victoria: You know I love it here. Its awesome getting to sit around in my bikini all day.
Katie: I know.
The rain starts to pour in buckets.
Victoria: Wow. Its really coming down out there.
Katie: We got in just in time.
Victoria: So wanna play some checkers or something?
Katie: Sure. Let's do it.
Victoria: Hey. Wanna play strip checkers?
Katie: Huh?
Victoria: Oh you know. Who ever loses has to take off a piece of her bikini and we keep playing until one of us is naked.
Katie: Mickie would never stand for it.
Victoria: Oh come on. No one's here but us.
Katie: We better not. What if Seth or Roman was to walk in on us?
Victoria smirks.
Victoria: So what? Roman's seen us both naked.
Katie smirks and she shakes her head.
Katie: No. We better not. Mickie's having enough problems without us running around naked.
Victoria: Aww. Okay.
Victoria and Katie start playing checkers.
Victoria: So what do you think is wrong with Mickie?
Mickie steps out of her room.
Katie: Mickie's been talking about our mother alot. She hasn't talked about her for years. I don't understand why she would suddenly start talking about her.
Victoria: Well. You don't want to forget her do you? I mean. Talking about our loved one's is what keeps them in our hearts. Right?
Katie: Yeah. I guess your right. I don't have a problem with Mickie talking about mom. I just find it odd that she has suddenly started talking about her. Wanting to know what she was like. What happened to her and why she died. I find the sudden interest odd. But I guess she would want to know.
Mickie stands in the hallway and she listens.
Mickie: Their talking about mother.
Victoria: What really did happen to her?
Katie: Well...We're not sure...but I think she had a heart attack...caused from giving child birth. I can remember hearing my dad talk about it. Guess he didn't think I was listening.
Victoria: Oh my. But that happened right after she gave birth to Mickie.
Katie: I know. My dad said that my mom had alot of problems after she gave birth to me. She got really sick and even fell into a depression. She also nearly had a heart attack. Once again. Caused from giving child birth. She survived though and got healthy again. My parents didn't want another child. Mom was afraid of having a heart attack and dad was afraid of losing her. And...well. You know how it is when your in love. They got lost in their passion for each other and well. 9 months later. She gave birth to Mickie. Everything seemed fine. I remember I was thrilled that I have a baby sister but I didn't know what it did to my mother. Then just a few months after she gave birth to Mickie...she had a heart attack. And...this time...she didn't survive.
Victoria: Man. That's rough.
Mickie fights back the tears.
Mickie: My parents really didn't want me...Now I know the truth. They didn't want me.
Mickie makes a noise as she tries to keep herself from crying as she turns and she walks into the bathroom and she closes the door. Both Katie and Victoria look toward the hallway.
Victoria: Must be Mickie.
Katie: I really hope she didn't hear that. There's no telling how bad it would effect her if she knew the truth. She probably would feel like its her fault. And that mom and dad didn't want her. Crazy things like that. Mom and dad loved her with all their hearts.
Suddenly it starts storming outside. Thunder sounds as the rain comes down hard and the wind blows. Suddenly the power goes out. Katie and Victoria look around.
Katie: Well. Its a good thing we didn't get comfortable watching tv or something.
Victoria: Yeah.
They keep playing their game.
Katie: It sounds like Mickie is crying.
Victoria: You don't think she heard us do you?
Katie: I hope not. She's having enough problems.
